Reviewing my stay at Sinae Phuket Luxury Hotel: Secluded Private Pool Villas in Phuke

Phuket has no shortage of resorts, but for this trip, after spending a few days in the busier parts of the island, I wanted to end my stay somewhere quieter where I can enjoy sea views while staying in a pool so I booked Sinae Phuket, a boutique resort featuring 64 private pool villas each having full or partial sea views on Siray Island, just a 10–15-minute drive from Phuket Town and located around 45-50 minutes drive from Phuket International Airport.

Sinae sits on a hill overlooking the Andaman Sea, surrounded by greenery and open sky. The resort feels peaceful and a bit hidden, almost like a secret corner of Phuket. I’m honestly surprised more people aren’t talking about this place, it deserves a lot more attention than it gets.

Key Takeaways:

  • Sinae Phuket is located on Koh Siray Island, on the east side of Phuket, connected by road and only about 10–15 minutes from Phuket Old Town.
  • The resort has 64 private pool villas, and most of them offer direct sea views.
  • It’s best to book directly through their website, as they usually have good monthly promotions.
  • Hilltop Café is one of the highlights of the property. It sits at the top of the hill and serves Starbucks coffee, making it one of the nicest spots in Phuket to enjoy a coffee with a view.
  • Since the resort is built on a hill, buggies are needed to get around.
  • There are not many local restaurants available near the property, but food can be ordered from the local apps like Grab or Line Man.

Check-In Process & Accommodation

The standard check-in time is 3:00 PM, but my pool villa was ready earlier, so I was able to check in at around 1:20 PM. The process was smooth — I was greeted with a welcome drink, and the staff at reception were friendly and efficient. Once everything was done, I was taken to my room by buggy. Because of the hilly terrain, walking around the resort isn’t ideal, but the buggies are quick to arrive whenever you call.

I booked the Sky Pool Villa, which I found to be one of their best options after looking through different booking sites. The villa is spacious, with a private infinity pool that faces the sea. The bed sits right in front of the pool, and waking up to that view each morning is easily the best part of the stay. The bathroom is well designed, with quality toiletries and a large soaking tub.

The minibar is complimentary and includes a few snacks along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. It’s a small gesture but adds to the overall comfort. The villa feels private, quiet, and perfectly placed for anyone who wants to unwind without distraction.

The resort also has its own mobile app, which makes everything more convenient. I can use it to book buggies, order food, or reserve a spa session directly from my phone. It’s simple, fast, and works really well.

Sindh Spa

Another highlight of my stay at Sinae Phuket is Sindh Spa. It’s located high on the hill, about a two–three-minute buggy ride from my villa. The spa interiors reflect Thai design — lots of wood, bamboo textures, and large glass windows that open up to sea views.

Sindh Spa feels different from most spas I’ve visited in Thailand. It’s small, private, and has limited availability, so it’s best to book in advance. There are only a few massage beds, and the demand is quite high, which makes the experience more personal and quiet.

I chose the aromatic Thai massage, which starts with warm oil poured gently across the body, followed by slow, deep movements that ease every muscle. The scent of the oils and the calm setting make it incredibly relaxing. After the massage, I took a quick shower and walked to the common pool just outside the spa.

The pool isn’t very large, but it overlooks the sea, and the view is beautiful. It’s rarely crowded — probably because most villas at Sinae already have private pools with sea views, so guests prefer staying in their own space. Sitting there with a towel and herbal tea, looking over the water, feels like a quiet reward after the massage.

Hilltop Café – A Favorite Among Locals and Tourists

Hilltop Café is easily one of the best cafés I’ve been to in Phuket. It’s located right at the top of the resort, and getting there means a short buggy ride from the villa. The journey is worth it — once you arrive, you’re greeted with a 270-degree view of the Andaman Sea that looks spectacular any time of day.

If you’re a Starbucks lover, this café in Phuket is a must-visit. Sinae proudly serves Starbucks coffee here, and it’s probably the most scenic spot in Phuket to enjoy it. Alongside coffee, the café also offers a mix of international and Thai dishes, so you can have a brunch, or light snacks while soaking in the view.

The atmosphere feels open and relaxed, a blend of locals who come for the coffee and guests who linger for the view. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend an hour doing nothing but watching the horizon.

Dining Options

Dining options around Sinae Phuket are quite limited since the hotel is located on Siray Island, away from the main tourist areas. Most guests either dine at the hotel’s Sai Bistro & Bar or order food through delivery apps like Grab or LINE Man.

The hotel offers a daily complimentary breakfast from 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Sai Bistro & Bar. The buffet includes both halal and non-halal options, with a good mix of Thai dishes, local fruits, different varieties of bread, and a full egg section. The spread also changes slightly each day, which keeps it interesting for longer stays. Overall, the breakfast quality is consistent and easily meets international standards.
